The RLS Rugged Laser Sensor is built upon the foundation of the well-known ROLS Remote Optical Laser Sensor. It features a robust construction with a 316L stainless steel IP67 rated enclosure. This design ensures its resilience in environments where there might be accidental exposure to water, oil, dust, and other contaminants. In such cases, simply clean the laser and detector windows, and the sensor is ready to go. The RLS offers a convenient watertight M12 connector for easy removal and cleaning. With a working distance of up to 25 feet, this sensor can be used in applications where proximity to the target is challenging or unsafe. Its laser light source simplifies setup – just aim the laser at a reflective tape or high-contrast target, and you’re ready to start measuring. The sensor also includes an On-Target Indicator to confirm target detection. It comes with a 3 m [9.84 ft.] cable and offers a choice between tinned flying leads or a 1/8″ phone plug connector for use with Monarch tachometers and stroboscopes. Cable length can be extended using the optional 25 ft. extension cable.
